We Need You!

we need you!

Despite kind support from:

Talsarnau Community Council,
Gwynedd Highways,
The Firearms Officer of North Wales Police,
Ecology,Gwynedd Council Public Protection Officer and;
Our neighbours

Bryn Derw Guns are being told by the officers at Awdurdod Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri (Snowdonia National Park Authority) that they will not support the relocation of our gun and ammunitions shop (which is fully consented) from our current premises to a larger premises on the same farm, because they fear we are growing too much and would prefer now to see us located in a town or village centre location, despite also saying that they want our business to be located further away from built up areas.

We need the Councillors at Snowdonia National Park Authority to help us secure the future of our little business on our farm, especially given that they supported us initially when they provided planning consent in 2019.

We would like Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri to hear your views about this and would be grateful if you could make any comments you feel able in support of our planning application by emailing their planning department using the following email address cynllunio@eryri.llyw.cymru quoting please the planning reference NP5/77/265B whilst copying us in on info@brynderwguns.co.uk so we can also bring this to the Councillors attention in due course.

You can clearly say whatever you would like, but what we are trying to show is that despite our proposed growth, our business is still better being located in the countryside on our farm due to the unique nature of our service offering linked to the sale of guns and ammunition, rather than being in a town centre or village centre location. It will also help if we can show them through your kind comments that the type of service we offer is unique and helped by being located in a rural/ farm setting.

We don’t have much time. We would like to let them know the strength of feeling by 12PM TUESDAY 20TH APRIL.

About 80% of UK businesses fail in their first year. One in three businesses were due to close in Wales due to Covid 19, and it’s probably higher for retail. Our little business bucks that trend and with your continued support we will continue to do so whilst also using the success of this application to employ one more full time local person.

Thank you to you all for your continued support of Bryn Derw Guns. Diolch yn fawr i chi pawb.

Bob Ingram
